Indie Game: The Movie Screening

March 13, 2012 by alexlukens

Update: As an update, though the Plaza’s website lists it as playing on Wednesday, is in fact playing today (Tuesday).

Hey, all. Alex here. I’m writing because in one week’s time there will be a screening of the movie Indie Game: The Movie at the Plaza on March 20th (Tuesday) at 7:30. I thought it might interest you to know about it as it follows some of the videogames we have been playing in class (Super Meat Boy, Braid). The film follows some of the games’ designers, which is a look at these games we haven’t gotten much of in class. I can’t speak to the movie’s goodness or badness but the trailer looks promising, if somewhat overwrought. I’m going to go to it. So, if you’d like to go, check out the Plaza’s Coming Soon page:

Also, here is the film’s website:

Hmm, I think I remember hearing about this movie awhile ago.

Anything that deals with Braid and Super Meat Boy–probably my two favorite indie games with Bastion being the third–is a must watch for me.

    Thanks for sharing.
